Getting Started

This guide will have you up and running in under 5 minutes. Let’s go!

1. Create Your Account

Launch the application and click Create Account on the welcome screen.

  • Choose a unique username (3–20 characters, letters, numbers, underscores)
  • Enter a valid email address
  • Set a strong password
  • Verify your email

Note: You can also sign in with your Discord, Steam, or Google account.

2. Complete Setup Wizard

The first-launch wizard will guide you through:

Display Settings

Resolution: Auto-detected (recommended)
Refresh Rate: Match your monitor
VSync: Enabled (reduces tearing)
HDR: Enable if your display supports it

Audio Settings

Output: Your default audio device
Input: Your microphone (for voice chat)
Master Volume: 80%

Controls

Choose your control scheme:

  • Keyboard & Mouse — Default for PC players
  • Controller — Auto-detected (Xbox, PlayStation, generic)
  • Custom — Full remapping available in Settings

3. Download Content

After account setup, select content to download:

Click Download Selected and wait for the download to complete.

4. Your First Session

Launching a Game

  1. From the Home screen, click Play
  2. Select a game mode:
    • Quick Match — Jump into a game immediately
    • Ranked — Competitive matchmaking (requires level 10)
    • Custom — Create or join a custom lobby
    • Solo Practice — Play offline with bots

Common Issues

Game won’t launch

# Verify files
gaming-platform --verify-integrity

# Clear cache
gaming-platform --clear-cache

Performance issues

  1. Lower graphics settings: Settings → Graphics → Quality Preset → Medium
  2. Enable Performance Mode in Settings
  3. Close background applications

Connection issues

  • Check status.example.com for server status
  • Try switching regions: Settings → Network → Region
